Local shop owner Bob Addonizio is celebrating its 21st anniversary in Milford E.K.A. jewelry this year. Originally opened its doors in downtown Milford, n. Walnut Street, E.K.A. jewelry has been moved twice always keep the House in Milford. In 2004 Bob moved the business to the Plaza in n. Dupont Highway where it currently stands.
At the age of 18, Mr. young works as a jewelry bench Addonizio, specializes in making and repairing jewelry to large corporations. In 1980 his career in the United States Air Force took him to the Dover, Delaware where he began repairing jewelry for companies such as Boscov’s and Sears. After working for big companies for ten years, Bob decided to make a move into retail and opened the first private business in 1990 the main street in downtown Milford.
“I see what you’re doing a big chain and I decided that I needed to make a change,” commented Bob. “I see a lot of jewelry quality declines, especially a big chain.”
The shop contains a collection of jewellery which is designed or chosen by Bob himself. Several annual trips to Belgium has produced a series of unique diamond jewelry. E.K.A. operation at home jewelry offers a complete where Bob and staff can make the appropriate modifications to the specific needs of its customers. They offer assessment, repair, custom design jewelry, pearls restringing, watch repairs, repair a glass eye and carving.
“Jewelry will always be a business,” stated Mr. Addonizio. “You need to be able to focus on each item to ensure quality.
